Mr. Arthur Washington passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his residence at the age of 88 years. He was born June 22, 1932 in Stamps, Arkansas to Ruben and Losie Washington.
Arthur was employed by General Motors and worked various other jobs in his earlier years. He was the proud owner and operator of three detail car shops throughout his lifetime until his retirement. He loved old school music, enjoyed his family and friends, and loved talking about the earlier years of his life.
Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Washington; son, Arthur Washington, Jr.; daughters, Linda D. Washington, Toschia V. Smith; parents, Ruben and Losie Washington; brothers, James, Gene, Houston and J.C. Washington; sisters, Bobbie Vanlanham, Doris Merrill, Patricia Washington and Mary Wesson.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Donna (Hubert) Williams, Saginaw, Michigan, Marcia (Ben) Williams, Auburn Hills, Michigan; sons, Larry (Victoria) Washington, Saginaw, Michigan, Jerry Washington, Miami, Florida, Dennis Washington, Battle Creek, Michigan, Marshall (Beverly) Litfield, Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Betty Johnson, Saginaw, Michigan; brothers, Robert Washington, Saginaw, Michigan, Marcellous Washington, Dallas, Texas; special friend, Mary Frances Wilson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
