Arturo Vallejo (Lansing)

Arturo Vallejo, Jr., known to friends and family as “Art” and “Mijo” passed away on February 23, 2019, at the age of 47 years. Art will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 10 years, Danielle and his children, Alyssia, Aaron, Arthur, and Xavier (stepson). Art will also be fondly remembered by his sisters, Patricia (Raul), Marie, Christina (Rigo), Felicia, Sonia (Tony), and by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Art was predeceased by his mother and father, Gloria and Arturo Vallejo, Sr., and faithful companion Holly.

In 2000, Art began working for Meridian Magnesium Products of America. He was a valued employee and colleague; one who often worked tirelessly, logging in over 4000 hours last year alone.

When he wasn’t working, Art took great joy in spending time with his family and with Holly, his Chocolate Labrador Retriever and loyal companion for 15 years. Also, Art and Danielle, spent much of their free time with their niece Danielle and her children (Kenneth “Junior”, Daniel, Dayhla, Izzabela “Izzi”, Justice “Baby J”, and Theodore “Teddy”.)

Art enjoyed spending time outdoors, playing with his remote-controlled cars and trucks, watching Marvel movies, and going for rides with Danielle in their Jeep with the top off. He was also known for his great generosity, his willingness to help others, and his sense of humor.

In celebration of Art’s life, a luncheon will be held on Tuesday, March 5, from 11:30 pm – 1:30 pm, at 2|42 Community Church, Bennett Road, Okemos.
