Audrey Mae Harness went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 11, 2011 at Covenant Healthcare - Cooper. Age 77 years. She was born May 19, 1933 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Isaiah Lindsey and Lydia Bailey.
Audrey was a member of Grace Chapel under the leadership of James H. Nelson. She was employed by TG&Y in the Fort Saginaw Mall; a Chore Provider for the State of Michigan and a volunteer for the GrandParent Program at Heavenrich Elementary School.
She lived for the purpose of serving others by being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Her words of wisdom will be missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Renna (Linda) Harness, Jewel (Carolyn) Harness Jr.; five grandchildren, Jaquel Salas (LaLa), Wendy Harness-Hicks, Julius Hogg, Walter Pelt Jr., all of Saginaw, MI, Jewel Harness III, Atlanta, GA; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Blondale Scott, Emma McFadden, Rhodan Ray, Tina Hunter (Skeeta), Pastor James Nelson and Grace Chapel Church Family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Harness Sr.; one daughter, Jacqueline Maria Pelt; parents, Lydia and Isaiah Lindsey; two brother and two sisters.
