Mrs. Audrey Jones went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by all of her children on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Healthsource Saginaw, under the care of Heartland Hospice. Age 79 years. She was born February 28, 1937 in Ward, West Virginia to Alphonso Witten and Arlene Thelma Walker Witten.
Mrs. Jones resided in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of Bethel AME Church where she served with the Christina Goines Missionary Society, Usher Board #1 and the Class Leader Council. Mrs. Jones was employed by Saginaw County Child Development for many years. She was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. Her hobbies included sewing, walking and reading. Mrs. Jones loved her grandchildren dearly, and valued time spent with family and friends. She was sweet, kind, caring, and generous, always giving gifts to others. Mrs. Jones will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish loving memories, four daughters and one son, Regina (Alvin) Crudup, Renita Hendricks, Yvonne Jones, Willie (Darlene) Hendricks, Jr., Janita (Robert) Bond, II; twelve grandchildren, Ebony Williams, Chenika (Danny) Martinez, Andre Hendricks, Adriane Hendricks, Kendall Sanders, Janita Hendricks, Montell Hendricks, Brandon Hendricks, Roger Tullos, Jr., DeQuavious Hendricks, Robert Bond, III, Jacques Bond; fifteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sandra Lawson, Janita Balderson, Emma Smith; two brothers, Colonel Witten, James (Romyer) Witten; five nieces; six nephews; many other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonso and Arlene Witten, loving and devoted husband, Herman Jones; son, Jeffrey Hendricks, and grandson, Jerry Morgan, II.
