Ms. Audrey J. Monroe passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 54 years. She was born June 8, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Wilbur R. and Lucy P. Sawyer.
Audrey attended Buena Vista Schools and was a 1977 graduate of Buena Vista High School. She was employed at General Motors Corporation was a member of UAW Local 699. Audrey received her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from Delta College.
She leaves to cherish her memory one loving son, DMarquis Monroe; three grandchildren, Rudy, DMarquis Jr., SaRyha and their mother, Kimberly Jackson; her devoted mother, Lucy P. (William) Johns of Hampton, Virginia; one devoted brother, Steven Sawyer of Los Angeles, California; one aunt, Virginia Morris of Doswell, Virginia; one uncle, Earl E. Price of Cincinnati, Ohio; many cousins other relatives and friends.
Audrey was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur R. Sawyer and her grandmother, Janie Sawyer.
