Barbara Jean Creed was born November 25, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan. Barbara, the fifth of eight children born to Oscar Creed, Jr., and Florence Woodard Creed, was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Lillian Juanita Sewere, Oscar (Sonny) Creed, Nancy Creed, Deidra Everett and Johnny Creed. She is survived by her two sisters, Dr. Jacqueline Creed Bowman (Phillip) and Minister Mae Creed Wallace (Hiawatha). In addition to her sisters, Barbara leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Barbara departed her earthly life on June 14, 2022, at the age of 68 after courageously battling cancer for the last six months.
Barbara attended public schools in Saginaw, MI and earned her diploma. She was known for her happy disposition; she was kind-hearted and appreciated the simple things in life. Barbara was an independent woman, she traveled primarily by bus and made friends with everyone she met. Barbara loved listening to music in many genres. She adored cats, and also enjoyed walking, watching daily soap operas, clipping coupons and spending time with family. Barbara will be deeply missed by her family and friends. We thank God for her life and will always cherish her memory within our hearts.
