Barbara Hazel Wagner-Brief

Barbara Hazel (Wagner) Brief was born July 1, 1941, to John and Wilma (Houghteling) Wagner in Denmark Township, Tuscola County.  Barb passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.  

Barb was a loving daughter, mother, sister and friend to many. She was a homemaker and fantastic cook. She enjoyed preparing meals for her loved ones which always included a to-go bag of delicious food. Barb loved to get together with friends and family to fish on the pontoon, play cards, go to the casino, bowl with her up-north girls and can until every jar was filled. 

Barb is survived by daughters Julie Krugielki and Dana (Mark) Carsten and son John (Wava) Fischer, as well as sisters-in-law Carol Wagner, Martha Moyer, Maxine Hoover, Jenny Mercer and Linda Wicher. 

Barb was the proud grandmother to Steve, TJ, Rashelle, Krista, Kayla, John, Danny, Lindsey, Amanda, Aaron, Douglas, Lilly and Dylan, as well as 19 great-grandchildren.

Barb was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Brief, daughter Mary Jo Smith, infant son Robert Fischer, parents John and Wilma Wagner, sisters Jean Colliton and Nancy Hepfer, brother Richard Wagner, in-laws Clair and Orlena Brief, brothers-in-law Burl, Dale, Dearl and DeWayne Brief and sisters-in-law Lucille Curry, Vera Lee Brief, and Mary Grom.
