Barbara Lois Filmore (Lansing)

Ms. Barbara Lois Filmore passed away Saturday, May 5, 2024, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 77 years. She was born Thursday, November 21, 1946, in Opelika, Alabama. She is the daughter of Albert Filmore and Malissie Gilliam Filmore.

Barbara lived in Lansing, Michigan. She was a member of Tabernacle of David. Barbara earned a master’s degree in administration. She is a retiree of Michigan State University. Barbara was a people person, outgoing, and never met a stranger. She loved working with children, flowers, gardening—anything outdoors.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Angeleen Filmore (Louis) Gray of Wichita, Kansas; 6 nieces, 8 nephews; other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

The family of Barbara Filmore would like to express special thanks to her Tabernacle of David family and neighbors who became friends.
