Our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 after a brief illness. Age 41 years. He was born May 6, 1968 to Johnnie Mae Amos and the late John Henry Jackson. He was a loyal employee of Sullivans Restaurant.
Bark (as he was known by his family and friends) leaves to cherish his memory thirteen children: Anthony, Tykesha, LaNedra, DeAngelo, ShaVonna, Barnell Jr., Dionquay, Charnell, DaTriana, KeVariyon, KaMaree, Semaj and Darius; his mother: Johnnie Mae Amos, four brothers: Kenneth Amos, Michael Chester, both of Saginaw; DeWayne Ceper of Texas, and Breantay Franklin of N.C.; ten sisters: Lynette Amos, Darlene (Billy) Jones, Patricia and LaKeisha Jackson, April Schnell, all of Saginaw, MI; Dorothy (Frankie) Shepherd of Vivian, LA, Gloria Martin and Charlotte Jackson, both of Tampa, FL, Joyce (Maurice) McCormick of Fayetteville, NC, and Eva Meredith of Texas; four grandchildren, special cousins Reginald, Tanya, and Darke Amos. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews including special friends Denise Haley, Denise Lipsey, Robert Turner, Kelvin Mills, Tracy Travis, Chris and Walter Evans.
Barnell was preceded in death by his father, grandparents: Ardell and Gladys Amos, Robert T. and Vera Jackson; brother John (Ohn) Jackson, a cousin Steven Amos, and nephew DeShawn Amos and a niece Kennadi Amos and a special friend Mr. Leonard Evans.
