He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Yvette (Mark) Chandler of Lansing, Michigan; three sisters, Tommie Jean (James) Coleman of Dayton, Ohio, Eloise Morris of Lansing, Michigan, Pansy Elizabeth Patrick of Chicago, Illinois; one brother, Gerald H. Russ of Lansing, Michigan, other children, and many other relatives and friends.
Barton was preceded in death by his parents, Royal and Gladys Russ, one brother, John Royal Russ, one sister, Willard Adair Russ.
