Beatrice Clement (Lansing)

April 2, 1925 — May 27, 2018

Mrs. Beatrice Clement passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 93 years. She was born April 2, 1925 in Gurdon, Arkansas to parents, Isom and Sarah Hudson.

Beatrice was a resident of Lansing, Michigan for most of her life. She accepted Christ at the early age of 10. Beatrice attended Robinson Memorial Church of God in Christ, Gospel Tabernacle Church and until her passing she attended Gospel Assembly Church. She graduated high school from J. W. Sexton High School. Beatrice was employed at General Motors Fisher Body Division as a sanitation worker. She worked as a nurse’s aide at both Sparrow Hospital and Provincial House South. Beatrice loved baking, cooking, gardening, and sewing for her family. She took such pride in decorating her home. Beatrice loved the Lord and would get up each morning and pray for each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren!

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters. Barbara (Thomas) Martin, Phyllis Jones, and Laura (Marco) Clement-Garay; son Jeffrey Clement; grandchildren, Lee, Autumn, Robert, Yahmon, Meka, Jón, Dequandre, Clayton, Marco and Marcela; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kayla, Michael, Jr., Bella, Lee, Jr., Shamon, Dartanian and Solomon; two brothers, Willie Hudson and Ernest Hudson; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hudson and Nannie Hudson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends including special friend, Bessie Swanson.

She was preceded in death by Herman Clement, her husband of 28 years; sons, Charles and Keith; parents, sisters, Blanche, Lessie and Linnie; and brother, Lacy.
