Beatrice Williams passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at her residence. Age 89 years. She was born May 23, 1923 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Amos and Pearline Vanzant.
Beatrice was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor E.W. Bothuel. She was a member of the usher board for over 50 years. Beatrice loved gardening, baking and cooking for her family. She was Aunt Bea to over one hundred children. Beatrice had a big heart and loved everyone around her. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Barbara (Otis Jr.) Reed; three grandchildren, Marilyn Reed and Frank Reed, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Marlena Reed, Atlanta, Georgia; one great-grandchild, Tyler Word; three sisters, Rose (Buster) Steward, Claudia (Henry) Cooper, Leo Girt (Claude) Walker; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Kate McFadden and Mickey Douglass.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband L.C. Williams; one sister, Lessie Cooper; one brother, Thurman Vanzant.
