Our beloved Ms. Bee Ethel Garrett, affectionately called "Bee", faithful mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, made her transition to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 78 years of age. Bee was born December 28, 1937 in Depew, Oklahoma, the daughter of Erick and Zana Goode.
Bee followed family members to Saginaw, Michigan where she attended Saginaw Public schools and accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, uniting with St. Luke CME Church. She married Nesby Garrett and from this union came five beautiful daughters and one handsome son. She loved cooking for her family and playing cards.
Bee is survived by her daughters, Dee Lynn Garrett, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joanne (Lee) Warren, Charlotte, North Carolina, Linda Brown, and Tammy Garrett of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Kathleen Garrett of Saginaw, Michigan; and one son, Harvey Garrett of Grand Rapids, Michigan. In addition to her children, Bee leaves to cherish her loving memory grandchildren, Tanisha (Maurice) Bowman, Sekou, Anthony, Christopher, and Erick (Jhen) Garrett, Tiffany (Kevin) Williams, Candice (Darnell) Guyton, DaMarcus Collins, Terrence Cannon, Sahvanna (Adam) Baker, and Michael Wiley; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mamie West, Saginaw, Michigan and Annie Harris, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Erick and Zana Goode; one sister, Emma Lee Brown; seven brothers, New Deal, Walter, Robert, James, Leonard, Bethel, and Foster Goode.
