Belinda Davis (Lansing)

Ms. Belinda Davis passed Thursday, April 15, 2021, at McLaren Greater Lansing in Lansing, Michigan. Age 63 years. She was born December 18, 1957, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Maxine and J.D. Davis, Jr.

Belinda attended Waverly High School, a member of the graduating Class of 1974. After graduation, she was employed at General Motors for 3 years. Meanwhile picking up two other jobs to support her children. Belinda evidentially found her passion in the healthcare field where she enjoyed taking care of the elderly until she decided to take on early retirement. Belinda was a very outspoken, loving, and caring person who could talk the talk and walk the walk. She was the rock of her family, who always loved to give get-together to keep everyone close. Belinda loved to cook, bake, and spend time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was full of life and loved her family dearly.

She leaves to cherish her memory 2 sons, Willie James Davis of Lansing, Michigan and Tyrone Lamar (Fatima) Davis of Romulus, Michigan, bonus son, Kofi Johnson, Sr.; bonus daughter, Kia Johnson; 8 grandchildren, Dominque Rocha, Sienna Harden, Alexis Delgado, Famoun (Candice) Miller, Ardis Davis, Tyronique Davis, Tamia Brown, and Tay’Veon Davis; 9 bonus grandchildren; 4 sisters, Dawn Lyvonne Davis, Beverly Ann Davis, and Rosalind Ann Davis all of Lansing, Michigan and Sheleatha Davis-Brown of Detroit, Michigan; brother, J.D. Davis, III of Lansing, Michigan; 5 nieces, 13 great nieces including special great nieces, Maxine and Gaberella Brooks, 3 nephews, 6 great nephews including great nephews Termaine Brooks, Sr. and Ronald Davis; aunts, Ruby Lee (Henry) Bates, Mary Ruth (Henderson) Plummer and Mozella Rhodes; 2 uncles, Charles Edward Bates and James Herbert Davis, Jr.; many cousins, other relatives, and friends including special friend, Diane Gilliam who was more like her sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maxine Davis and J.D. Davis, Jr.; grandparents Mary and James H. Davis, Willie Mae Bates, J.D. Davis, Sr.; brother, Ron Davis; nephew, Termaine Brooks, Jr.; 6 aunts, 4 uncles; and bonus son, Kwabena Ardis Johnson.
