Bennie Bee Little

May 12, 1921 — June 2, 2018

Mrs. Bennie Bee Little was born May 12, 1921 in Galveston, Texas to Samuel Rogers and Mary Edwards Rogers. Born during the peak of World War I, Bennie was no stranger to struggle and turmoil. Despite hardships, she was an overcomer. She overcame everything life threw at her to make a better life for her children. The best job she ever had was being a Mother. She took pride in being a homemaker and providing a safe place for her family and community. She enjoyed baking, sewing, gardening and listening to gospel music. More than that, she enjoyed her grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Grandma Green” because her house was green. Bennie was serious yet funny. Cheerful yet stern. Vivacious and full life, living to see her family to the fourth generation. She always believed that her family was all the legacy she needed and because of them she will forever live.

On Saturday, June 2, 2018, Bennie transitioned from this life and joined her husband, Bill Oliver Little, Sr.; sons, Alan and Tommy Little; parents Samuel and Mary Rogers; sister, Corria Rogers; brother, Samuel Rogers, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Shirley Little, who all preceded her in death.

Mrs. Little leaves to cherish her precious memories five daughters, Rosa May (Henry) Coleman, Jerdine (Harry) Joe, both of Dallas, Texas, Mary Dean Little, Willie Bee Long, Alberta (Sam) O’Neal, all of Saginaw, Michigan; one son, Bill Oliver Little, Jr., Saginaw, Michigan; one sister, Rosie Lee Bullock; many grandchildren to the 4th generation; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

The family would like to thank Hospice and everyone who has stood by them in prayer during this time.
