Bennie Charles Brown, Sr. (Lansing)

Mr. Bennie Brown passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Henry Ford Genesys in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Age 75 years. He was the son of Arthur and Velma Brown, born in Millington, Tennessee. 

Bennie relocated to Lansing, Michigan. While there he attended Lansing Community College and General Motors College. He was employed at General Motors Corporation – Fisher Body Division. Bennie loved the Lord and made him his Lord and Savior. He was a member of New Life International Church since 2015. Bennie enjoyed fine dining at the most exclusive restaurants. He also enjoyed dressing sharp and looking good with his jewelry. Bennie loved to cruise in his new truck, shopping, Cadillacs, and especially spending time with his family. 

He leaves to cherish his memories, the woman he always loved, Diane Buie; daughters, Sheila Brown-Scates, Nikeya Brown, and Camellya Brown; grandchildren, Jocquice Knox Sr., Saviyance Beck, Savion Richardson, and Nevaeh Stitt; great grandchildren, Jocquice Knox, Jr., Eisjah Ronero, Vissio Knox, Honor Knox, Bennie Knox III; 2 sisters, Susie Ford of South Haven, Mississippi and Georgia Brown of Memphis, Tennessee; 4 brothers, Tommy Brown of Lansing, Michigan, Justine (Ruby) Brown of Burlison, Tennessee, Hubert (Shirley) Brown of Mumford, Tennessee and John K. Brown of Memphis, Tennessee; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Bennie Charles Brown, Jr.; parents, Arthur and Velma Brown; sisters, Olivia Fields, Hattie Malone, and Freddie Johnson; brothers, Jerry Brown, Douglas Brown, George (Carol) Brown, Walter Brown, Ernest Brown, Bevrnius Brown, Moses Brown, L. C. Brown of Detroit, Michigan and John A. Brown of Chicago, Illinois.
