Mother Bessie Lee McGee went home to be with her heavenly Father Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 89 years. She was born July 27, 1921 in Madison Mississippi to Johnnie and Rosie Shell.
Mother Bessie was a member of Victorious Believers Ministries where she served on the Mothers Board. She confessed Christ at an early age at Oak Grove No.2
Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville, MS. She was educated at Choctaw and Winston Public Schools.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Brenda (Al) McGee, Linda (Sylvester) Howard; grandchildren, Keangela and Kemann McGee, Keyvonne Dixon, Perryone Booth; sisters, Lille Mae Ashford, Seary, AR, Ruby (Grady) McBride, Kosicusko, MS; brothers, J.D. Shell, Little Rock, AR, Jamie Shell, Davenport, IA; special nieces, Evangelist Ruthie Haynes, Martha Hickman, Louisville, MS, Helen Burrage, Tisha Wilson, many nephews, other relatives and friends including Della Davis, Anna Laury, Lavender family, Burton-Tinsley family, Deloris Baber, Mack family and James Shells.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordie McGee; parents, Johnnie and Rosie Shells; three sisters, Eddie Mae Gage, Inez Stennis, Verline Burrage and one brother, Johnnie Lee Shells.
