Betty Croskey (Lansing)

Mrs. Betty Jean Croskey passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at her residence in Lansing, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family. Age 83 years. She was born on Tuesday, February 11, 1941, in Birmingham, Alabama to George and Carrie Bell Sams. 

She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and sister. She touched many lives, and her memory will live on forever.

Betty raised many of her nieces and nephews and even though we didn’t name you all individually, please know she loved you all and she will forever be with us all. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Aretmus Croskey; her grandchildren, Antonio Croskey, Robbin Wolbeck, Robert Crenshaw, Natashia Sutton, Artemus Crenshaw, William Croskey, Dyman Ellington, Jazmun Ellington and James Ellington; great-grandchildren, Robert Crenshaw III, Joseph Wolbeck, Nevaeh Sutton, Nateara Wolbeck, Jordan Finnie, Drevaughn Croskey, Kane Gidner, Ashley Smith, Makayla Smith, Mica Ellington, Caleb Jackson, Zuri Ellington, Cayden, Kameran, Kingsten, Kahili & Calhan Simpson, Zyana Croskey, Myrisa Gonzales, Isabella Johnson, Amariana Croskey, Alena Croskey, Onaleyan Croskey and Sophia Croskey; sisters, Virginia Arrington, Mary Bodyford, Carolyn White and Yvette Sams; brothers, Willie James Sams and Walter Sams; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her only daughter, Veronica Crenshaw.
