Mrs. Betty Mae Dixon-Potts, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at Hurley Hospital in Flint, Michigan. Age 71 years., She was a resident of Burton, Michigan. Betty was born on February 3, 1949, in Shaw, Mississippi.

Betty worked at the Old’s Plaza and Jack Tar Hotels in downtown Lansing, Michigan in the early ’70s. She also worked as a Caregiver for the elderly. Betty was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Flint, Michigan. She enjoyed being a member of the Sons of Zodiac Motorcycle Club for 39 years. She enjoyed watching Old Spaghetti Westerns and playing with her cat, Lady. Betty loved being around her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Tami Dixon; grandkids, Ashley Dixon, Dennis (Britt) Jenkins Jr., and Eugene (Louise) Williams III; great-grandkids, Kaliyah, Jazmine, Ja’veon, Elise, Jorden, Amiyah, and Davion; sisters, Willette (Coleman) William and Carmen Phillips; brothers, Albert Hoskins, Louis (Pamela) Dixon Sr., and Norris Postal; long-time friend Wiley McKinney, Sr.; many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Eartha Bell and Brenda Simmons and Caretaker, Lillie “Big Trouble” Hunter.

She was preceded by her parents, Minnie Lee Phillips, Erma L. Dixon, and Albert J. Dixon, and her brother, Leonard Perkins.
