December 16, 1946 — March 20, 2021

Ms. Betty Raasch was born December 16, 1946 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Peter and Edith Gerth. God called her name on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the age of 74 years.

Betty lived in Spaulding Township for 36 years and was a member of Sheridan Road Baptist Church for thirteen years. She worked as a dedicated housekeeper for many years.

Betty loved her family and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always putting others before herself and making people smile. She had such a contagious laugh and a sunny spirit that gave you a warm, comforting feeling whenever she was near. Her presence and bright light will surely be missed.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Edith Gerth and half-brother, Jack.

She leaves precious memories with three children, Ashley Marr, Peter Gerth, Cheryl Base; grandchildren, McKayla Raasch, Sheldon Schnell, Shelby Schnell, Isaiah Marr, Troy Gerth, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Megan Potts, Jeffrey Pinnell, both of Muskegon, Michigan, Jessica Gerth and Drew Gerth, both of Montrose, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Kaleb, Harley, Riley, Mason, Damon, Aaleigha and Xavier; sisters, Kathleen Schriber, Helen Hurney, half-sister, Evelyn Logie; brother, Robert Wargo; many other relatives and friends, including special friends Kerstin Tawbe, Brenda Montgomery, Tiffany Lewis, Jacob Gorsuch, Lynn and Dave Rutkowski, the Hodges and Gonzales families.

The family would like to express special thanks to all their family and friends for their support during this time, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
