On Tuesday, February 11, 2014 God sent an angel to bring Beverly Jane Howard to her heavenly home. She passed away at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison after a 2 month illness. Age 76 years. Beverly was born May 9, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan to Jack Howard and Flora Carter.
Beverly was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She was a faithful employee of Kmart Stores before retiring after several years of service. Beverly enjoyed working on all kinds of crossword puzzles. She loved growing plants and flowers. Gone but not forgotten, her remarkable presence will be truly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Byron Brewer; one grandson, Andre Jackson; one great-grand-daughter, Santoya; one sister, Shirley M. Caffey; one brother, John W. (Jennifer) Carter II; four nieces, Gail Caffey, Flora (Floyd)Henderson, Sandra (Stacy) Sanders and Cheryl Caffey; four nephews, Floyd (Beverly), Paul and Michael Buchanan, Goldstein (Geraldine) Caffey Jr.; one uncle, John (Frances) Carter; two sisters-in-law, Jennifer and Rose Carter; many other relatives and friends including her good friend, Bertha.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Flora Carter and Jack Howard; stepfather, James E. Carter; one son, William Brewer; one sister, Shrilda Buchanan; one brother, James L. Carter; one brother-in-law, Goldstein Caffey Sr.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staffs of Covenant Healthcare and Select Specialty Hospital, her friends and former co-worker who offered kind words, condolences and prayers.
