Beverly Patrick (Lansing)

Beverly Ann Patrick passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the age of 58 years. She was born December 24, 1955 in Lansing, Michigan into the union of Corrine Ellis and Jessie Patrick.

Beverly was raised in Lansing, Michigan and grew up attending the Original Church of God now known as Ellis Tabernacle Original Church of God under the leadership of her grandfather, Pastor Arzo Ellis. Beverly attended Eastern High School and worked for several years as a Hostess at Bob Evans. In her early years she was a good mom and played a big role in raising her grandsons, John and Brandon. She loved her mother and loved to laugh and spend time with her sisters. She was a girly girl and loved to cook for her children Gannie Burgers and ride her bike called Ms. Jessie.

She really loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Beverly was kind, friendly and loving to her friends and family and was a great listener. She was a people person who was genuine in her love for people. Beverly loved collecting stuffed animals and growing plants. She was very active at the Pines in volunteering at the programs and activities they had. Beverly made great friends at the Pines, including staff and volunteers.

Beverly leaves to celebrate her memory two daughters, Skye Patrick of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Shamecka Nicole Freeman of Lansing, Michigan; three grandchildren, Brandon R. Freeman, Jaden N. Freeman and Harmony J.A. Turner; three sisters, Jessica Patrick, Coleen Patrick and Sheila Burkley; two brothers, Ronald James Patrick and Pastor Thomas Lee (Lillian) Patrick of Nashville, Tennessee; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Beverly was preceded in death by her sister, Yvonee Jean Patrick, grandmother and grandfather, Pastor Arzo Ellis and Easeline Ellis, son, Grady Jr. Freeman, grandson, John D. Bradley.
