Beverly Whitaker

Ms. Beverly Jean Whitaker passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 73 years. She was born December 29, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan to Edna Belle Chenault and Kenneth Holmes.
Beverly was a 1959 graduate of Saginaw High School and a graduate of Delta College. She was a resident of Los Angeles, California where she was employed with the Unified School district for over 33 years. She enjoyed bowling and traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Lisa (Kenneth) Boyd of Los Angeles, California; one son, Kenneth LeRoy Whitaker of Los Angeles, California; one stepdaughter, Beth (Dave) Cowling; grandchildren, Kenneth Lee Webb II, Takei Whitaker, Khrystinna Whitaker, Cotton Cowling and Justin Horrice; great-grandchildren, Jourden Webb, Jaylin Webb, Kenneth L. Webb III, Izayah Webb, Ivourie Webb, Sophia Violantes, Aniyah Whitaker, Elijah Whitaker, Amari and Sariya Whitaker; her mother, Edna Drake; two brothers, David Jr. and Darrell Drake; several nieces, nephews and cousins including Shirley Williams, to whom we give special thanks for being at Beverly's side from the beginning of her illness until the end of her journey; one sister-in-law, Juanita Drake; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Belva Williams and Cresie Page both of Los Angeles, California.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Will Webster, father, Kenneth Holmes and sister, Rosewilla Yvonne Holmes Bonnie.
