Billy Collins

Mr. Billy Earl Collins passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 50 years. He was born October 16, 1972, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Billy Smith and Brenda Collins-Brown.

Billy, a resident of Saginaw, was a member of Resurrection Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Carolyn Wilkins. He was an honors graduate from Saginaw High School, Class of 1990. Billy attended Averill Career Opportunity Center, where he studied and graduated as an Electrician and Pipefitter. He was a faithful and dedicated employee of Local 85 Pipefitting and Plumbing Union for 32 years until his health declined. Billy absolutely loved challenging anyone in a game of Chess, and he very rarely lost. He had his own music production business called Dollahbillion Productions. Billy loved music and making beats. After being diagnosed with kidney failure, Billy started a T-shirt business, and he was extremely great at it. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Billy leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Robbin Collins; three daughters, Shyavianna Coleman, DeVaughneisha Bodiford, and Shaniya Collins; three sons, DeAnthonie Goodman, DeVaughnta Bodiford, and Amario Bodiford; two stepchildren, Kiana and Kameron Riley; grandchildren, Ny’Ashja Washington, Amaiya Hutson, and Chanze McKinney; parents, Clarence and Brenda Brown, Billy and Sherita Smith; grandmother, Thelma Smith; three sisters, Kenya Collins, Sherry and Brenda Brown; three brothers, Clarence and Tarence Brown, and Kareem Geralds Sr; many aunts, uncles, and several cousins who were dear to his heart; mother and father-in-law, Albert and Mary Richards; two sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; many other relatives and friends including, Tommie Morgan, Tommie Jackson, and Jarvon Howard.

Billy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lula Mae and Stancy Collins, Willie and Estella Brown, and Mary Patman; uncle, William Collins; son, Traveon Collins; father-in-law, Wayne Smith; and brother, Anthony Smith.
