Bobbie Wayne Carter passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 63 years. He was born August 9, 1950 in Louisville, Mississippi to Kattie Lee and Oscar Carter.
Bobbie served with the United States Army for 12 years and received an honorable discharge. He was a part of the United States Army Reserve for many years. Bobbie was employed with General Motors for 10 years. He loved to work on cars and have a good time.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Kattie Lee Carter; stepmother, Helen Jean Carter; six sisters, Bonnie Ruth Carter, Hannah Carter, Arrie (Samuel) Lawson, Alice Carter, Annette Baker and Bonnie Lee Carter; four brothers, Michael (Laura) Carter, Larry Carter, Orson Carter and Erskin Carter; ten nieces, Barbara Logan, Annie (James) Jones, Pamela Carter, Veronica (Greg) Coleman, Audra (Romar) Johnson, Michelle (Kareem) Smartt, Latonya Bingham, Natasha (Geron) Johnson, Sandra Lawson and Mary Ingram; two nephews, Marcel Jones and Samuel Lawson Jr.; four aunts, Maxine (Walter) Coburn, Brenda (Hubert) Smith, Bonnie Carter and Ida (Webb) Ball; two uncles, Wardell Carter and Edward Clarance Carter; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Leo (Diane) Boose, Gary Hunt, Bobby Kelly and Curtis.
Bobbie was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Carter, one brother, Bobby Gene Carter, one sister, Bonnie Kate Logan, grandmother, Millie Carter, great-grandmother, Jane Kelly, Mary Jane Tripplett, Iris Brown, James Carter, Wendel Carter, Al Carter, Hargie Ruth Culberson and Eddie Mae Carter.
