Bobbie James Lowery passed away at his home on February 3, 2025. He was born to James and Estelle Lowery in Saginaw, Michigan on September 23, 1943.
He attended Saginaw public schools and graduated from Saginaw High School, class of 1962. After graduation, Bobbie enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he received an honorable discharge. Shortly after returning home, he married Josephine Jackson and together raised two children. Bobbie was hired at General Motors and retired after 30 years of service, and not a day more. He was an avid bowler and traveled the country winning numerous tournaments. One of his favorite places was Las Vegas.
Bobbie leaves to cherish his memory his children Damon (Leesa) Lowery and Kenyetta (Eric) Gray; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers James Lowery, Jonah Lowery, and Timothy (Sandra) Lowery; sister Irene Lowery; special niece Belinda Barlow-Poole; and many loving nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Bobbie was preceded in death by his wife Josephine, parents James and Estelle Lowery, sister Bernice Barlow, nephew Mitchell Barlow, and brothers Wesley, Doris, Oscar, and Lee Arthur Lowery.
The family wishes to extend our gratitude to all who have supported us through this difficult time. As per our loved one’s request, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
