There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die. Ecclesiastes 3:1
Mr. Bobby Joe Abraham Jr. passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Spectrum Health Rehab & Nursing in Grand Rapids, Michigan at age 50. Once again God deemed it necessary to call home another one of his children. He chose a loving son, devoted brother, affectionate uncle, caring nephew, joyful cousin and a faithful friend.
Bobby was born in Columbus, Ohio to loving parents Bobby Joe Sr. and Barbara Ann Abraham. Bobby took his first breath on Sunday, December 6, 1970. He was a force to be reckoned with from the moment God gave him life. He was educated in Saginaw Public School District. Bobby was one of the most generous individuals you could ever meet; he never met a stranger and he socialized with everyone.
Bobby loved spending time with his family and he was known as “Flavor Flav.” He enjoyed eating good food and traveling to family reunions. He was a loving and caring person who honored his mother, knowing that if he called her, she would make things happen.
Bobby's family were proud of his accomplishments. He enjoyed laughing and he understood that laughter is good for the soul. Bobby loved the Lord and he realized that the Lord kept him from death when the doctors thought he wasn’t going to survive. Oh yes, he had a few struggles, but God made everything alright.
God created Bobby to become a strong-willed individual; he had a knack for solving problems and creating laughter around others. He enjoyed music, sports, dancing, traveling and being a big brother to his siblings. Bobby had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep positive way and he lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like chatting with friends and family, snacking, and spending time with his witty nephews and adorable nieces.
His memory will be cherished by his loving and affectionate mother, Barbara Ann Abraham; sister, Katanya Abraham, Grand Rapids, Michigan, one devoted brother, Vincent (Dia) Abraham, Grand Rapids, Michigan, sister, Reatha Abraham, Saginaw, Michigan; five lovely nieces, Charmaine, Kemeshia and Shanta Abraham, Timaira and Tionna Beckom; three beloved nephews, Omari and Aazad Abraham, Princeton Dixon; aunts, Ruby Garth, Pat Byrd, both of Saginaw, Michigan, Faye (Jr.) Wesley, Columbus, Ohio; uncles, Lee Raymond (Regina) Abraham, and Donald Abraham, both of Saginaw, Michigan; a host of great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Abraham, Sr.; grandparents; many aunts, uncles, Raymond and Buck Wilson, and cousins.
Special thanks to ELARA Caring Hospice Home Health Care Service, Warren Harding, and Dr. Sheila Joy Wilkins.
