Bobby Leon Small (Lansing)

Mr. Bobby Leon Small passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 86 years. He was born February 9, 1935, in Somerville, Tennessee, to parents, Ida Mae Kee and Robert Small.

Bobby lived in Tennessee, where he would later attend Tennessee State for 2 years. Later he would move to Lansing, Michigan and worked as a server for several restaurants. Bobby was an avid sports lover, he particularly loved the Detroit Tigers and Lions, Michigan State, and University of Michigan. Though a physical handicap would keep him from church, Bobby confessed his belief in Jesus Christ at an early age. He spent the last 4 years of his life at Regency West Rehab in Lansing, Michigan, where the nursing staff gave our brother the best of care, with kindness we shall never forget.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sister, Kathryn Templeton; brother, Sammy Armour; and many nieces and nephews.

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Mae Kee-Armour; his father, Robert Small; sister, Martha Armour; brothers, George, Jr., Paul, Willie, Albert, Charles, Thomas, and Donny Ray Armour; aunt, Frances L Hibbett; uncle, Joe G. Kee; and brother-in-law, Norther Templeton.
