Bonnie Cooper

Our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the age of 48. Ms. Bonnie Marie Cooper was born on August 6, 1960 to Bennie and Sam Ethel Cooper in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church where she was baptized on March 6, 1966. Ms. Cooper graduated from Saginaw High School in 1979 and was employed at Hudson/Marshall Fields for approximately 20 years until she went out on disability. She was known as a "Shopping Diva.
She leaves to cherish her memory her father, Bennie (Shirley) Cooper; three sisters and three brothers: Carla (Sheldon "Snap") Matthews, Cristi (Johnny) Ray, stepsister Linda Seard, Mark Cooper, Terry (Ingrid) Cooper, Brandon Cooper and stepbrother Larry (Jill) McCloud; eighteen nieces and fifteen nephews; aunt Mae (John) Hamilton and uncles Joe (Toby) Cooper and Dorie Currin, a host of other relatives and friends including our family's adoptive sister Barbara Greenfield and nephew David Greenfield.
Ms. Cooper was preceded in death by her mother Sam Cooper and grandparents Theodore and Zelma Currin and Willie and Nancy Cooper. The family would like to express special thanks to Aunt Mae, cousin Frenesa Reynolds, her Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church family, Stacey Lopez, Regional VII, Tender Loving Care, Caregiver Miko Acosta, Dr. Balcueva and office staff, Dr. O., Dr. Samuel Shaheen, Dr. Haidar, Dr. Omar Mirza, RN's DeNae and Linda from Covenant Cooper ICU.
