Ms. Bonnie Faye Jones, who was known by many as “Tunka” passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024. Age 67 years. Bonnie was born on January 29, 1957, to Paul and Willie Jones. 

Bonnie was a resident of Buena Vista Township in Saginaw. She was a graduate of Buena Vista High School Class of 1975. Bonnie served in the United States Army in her earlier years, and afterwards the National Guards. She was employed at General Motors in multiple divisions for many years in her early days. Bonnie retired from Peterson Springs, in Three Rivers, MI after about 5+ years of service. 

Bonnie always put others before herself. She was thoughtful and giving. She loved her two sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren very much. Bonnie had a passion for learning and, in her earlier years, took several enrichment and college courses. She enjoyed going to Walmart and then out to eat with her sister Felicia, and she loved completing Sudoku puzzles. 

Bonnie leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Eric Sparks, Battle Creek, MI, and Tarrie Sparks, Albany, GA; one Stepson, Dewon Hatfield, Houston, TX; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Vivian (Nathaniel) Armstrong, Little Rock, AR, Felicia Robinson, Bay City, MI, and Amy (Rodney) Pruitt, Oak Point, TX; one brother, Cedric (Todd) Jones; nieces, Sabrina Gipson, and Lauren (Weslan) Eugene; nephews, Andrey Jones, Quincy Jones, Charles Baker, Darnell Armstrong, Tadric Robinson, Cedric Millege, and Miles Pruitt; one aunt, Virginia Grays; two special cousins, Richard Avery, and Larry Bates; and her special friend Marsha Pruitt.  

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Paul Jones and Willie Jones, grandparents, QV and Claudine Luster, Tarrie Hogan, Paul Jones, and Annie Maude House, two brothers, Charles Jones, known as “Spooky,” and Douglas (Suzanne) Jones known as “Oopie,” and two nephews, Anthony Robinson, Torrey Robinson. 

The family would like to express special thanks to her granddaughter, Erionna Sparks for always checking on her to make sure she was ok, and to the Staff of PACE.
