Mrs. Bonnie M. Dunbar passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at her residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 75 years. Bonnie M. Morgan was born in Swift, Missouri on February 23, 1946 to Birtha L. Morgan and A.G. Fuller.
She attended elementary and Jr. high school in Pemiscot School District in Hayti, Missouri. Bonnie accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Swift, Missouri. On October 27, 1963, she married J.D. Dunbar, and they relocated to Saginaw in 1966. From their union, six children were born: Leonard (Stephaine) Dunbar, Tisha (Sanford) Blackmon, Pam Dunbar, James (Angela) Dunbar, Gloria Reid and Valarie Brooks.
Bonnie enjoyed being a wife and mother; to let her family tell it, she was the best! She was always involved in the education of her children. Bonnie served the Morley Elementary Parent Teacher Association “PTA,” and was on the Cafeteria and Popcorn Committees. She did anything she could to lend a helping hand, and be involved in educating and molding her children. Bonnie was a faithful member of Bethesda Baptist Church for over 50 years, under the leadership of both the late Pastor Nick Hall Jr., and current Pastor, Reverend Gregory A. Johnson Sr. She was President of Usher Board, a member of the Senior Choir and Mother’s Board, and she served as a Deaconess. Bonnie proudly wore many different hats, and did her best at everything. She was employed at Saginaw Commission on Aging for 18 years until her health declined. Early on Monday, January 31, 2022, the Lord called her home from labor to reward.
