Ms. Brenda Cannon departed this earthly life for her place in the Kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Brenda blessed this earth with her presence on February 16, 1950 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Isaiah and Luella Cannon.
Brenda spent most of her life in Saginaw, Michigan where she was a 1968 graduate of Saginaw High School. She was a supervisor at Vlassic Foods prior to her retirement in 2009, after numerous years of service. Brenda was a very caring and giving person. She never met a person she would not assist. Her love for her grandchildren was often displayed in the ways in which she spoiled each of them. She never hesitated to give to them whenever they asked and whatever she could. Brenda enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bingo and taking trips to the casino before she became ill. Brenda was also an avid traveler and loved road trips before her illness prevented her from taking long trips. She also enjoyed listening to music, especially the sweet sounds of Teddy Pendergrass.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Subrina Cannon (Mark); three sons, Terrell (Jennise) Cannon, James (Catrina) Cannon and Willie (Slim) Cannon; sixteen grandchildren, Reginald Tarver, Jr., Bianca Tarver, Terrell DaleVon Cannon II, Brittnie Kara Cannon, Childress Daniel Cannon, Willie Cannon, Jr., Jaylin Cannon, Mikaylah Terry, Erieon Cannon-Stewart, Willie (Diggy) Cannon, Tayon Phillips, Akeele Hughes, Shamariya Cannon, Jayla Cannon and Roean Baker; one great-grandchild, Reginae Tarver; ten sisters, Genevieve Cannon Watts, Bertha (Johnnie) Redeemer, Denise Cannon, Christine (Michael) Nelson, Karen (Antwan) Mims Sr., Shirley Louis, Precilla Pryor, Velma (Willie) Moore, Lois McNair and Carla Pinson; five brothers, Isaiah Cannon, Jr., Pete (Janice) Cannon, Andrew Cannon, Albert Watson and Clifton Brooks; one uncle, Henry Carr; one aunt, Ernestine Carr Whetstine. She counted it a blessing to have an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including a special cousin, Dalton Jackson and special nieces, Shirley Kelly, Bridget Hinds and Alina Cannon; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Josie Smith and Joanne Broaden.
