Brenda D. Primus

Ms. Brenda D. Primus, age 68, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born March 1, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan to Augusta Keys and Vernetta Mathious.

Brenda was a graduate of Saginaw High School, “Class of 1968.” She was a faithful member of Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church. She accepted Christ early in life and continued to have a personal relationship with Him throughout her life.

Brenda was a foodie. She loved to eat. She talked passionately about food and got excited about planning meals. Food was a mood-lifter for her. No matter how angry or frustrated she may have been, good food always made her feel better.

In addition to her love affair with food, Brenda enjoyed bingo, laughing and having fun. She truly enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and they were her pride and joy. Her love for life and warm spirit will be missed and forever cherished.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Augusta Keys and Vernetta Mathious; grandparents; brother, Richard Mathious; nephews; and favorite cousin, Nadine Wilkerson.

She leaves to honor her memory three sons, Andre Key, Anthony Bell, Amos II (Shantale) Bell; grandchildren, Darrin Owens, Joslyn Hunt, Amaris Key, ShaQarius Sparks, Amos Bell IV, Amos Johnson, A'niyla Bell,Anthony Bell, Shaqauyvia Smith, Demetrius Bell; sisters, Mildred (Johnnie) Bradshaw, Mary Crosby, Della Simmons, Geraldine Green; brother, Grover (Sherry) Mathious; many nieces and special niece, Tracie Mathious; favorite aunt, Johnnie Wilkerson; many other relatives and friends, including special friends Dorothy Brooks, Dorothy Dodd and Demetria Bullock.
