Mr. Brian Keith McClendon, a resident of Port Huron, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2022. He was born on March 22, 1964, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Berry A. McClendon and Willie Faye McClendon.
Brian attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a graduate of Saginaw High School, Class of 1982. After relocating to Port Huron, Brian received a certificate in Heating and Cooling from Macomb Community College. He attended the U.S. Truck Driving School in Sterling Heights where he received a CDL for driving semi-trucks, and a CDL-B for driving buses for the City of Port Huron. Brian’s employment continued with CRST Truck Company, and Blue Waters Transit of Port Huron. He attended church regularly while living in Port Huron.
Brian’s hobbies included walking on the riverfront, cooking, music, attending art museums, traveling, and picnics. Most of all, Brian enjoyed spending time with his family. His smile captivated everyone he met. Brian had a loving and caring personality, was generous in nature, always helping others, and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Brian will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He leaves to cherish loving memories one daughter, Nicole Latrise Jackson, Warren, Michigan; two grandchildren, Darius Miles Jackson, and Bella Marie Marks, both of Warren, Michigan; his father Berry A. McClendon; stepmother, Vera Handley; sisters, Jacqueline Haliburton, Wanda McClendon, LaTisha Smith, and Sharyn Mahan; brothers, Kim (Tara) McClendon, East Moline, Illinois, and Malcolm (Erika) Clark, Natomas, California, Corey Taylor, Flint, Michigan, Demetrius and Darren Handley, Saginaw, Michigan; nieces, Brandy Bryant, Au’Jeantae McClendon-Williams, Eboni Haliburton, Setyra Haliburton, Jamonda McClendon, Autumn McClendon, Janai McClendon, Amanda McClendon, and Quran Clark; nephews, Manuelle McClendon, Dayton McClendon, and Malcolm Clark; aunt, Ida Mae Walton; great-aunt, Clotile Mounger; uncle, Willie F. McClendon; many cousins, other relatives and friends including a special, loving friend, Deloris Jackson; goddaughter, Keyara Dominique Taylor, Pontiac, Michigan; special friends, Johnny Ray, Michael Hankins, Lorenzo Ovalle, David Hunt, Howard Stephens, Sylvester Stephens, and Chris Crowell.
Mr. McClendon was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Faye McClendon; stepfather, Richard Clark; maternal grandparents, L.T. (Lula Bell) Cole; fraternal grandparents, Lemon (Eula Lee) McClendon; brothers, Jared Handley, Andre Handley, and Darryn Mahan; aunt, Juanita Wilson; uncles, Modie McClendon, Doll Ellis Cole, Charles L. Cole; a great-niece, Aiyari; special friends, Terry Staples, and Harold Young.
