Bruce A Longuemire

Bruce A. Longuemire passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2011 at his residence. Age 61 years.
He was born August 25,1950 in Saginaw, Michigan to Minnie and John E. Longuemire Sr. He attended Saginaw Public Schools, Delta College and Saginaw Valley State University. He gave his life to Christ and joined Candle Light Missionary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for General Motors and other labor jobs, but he got his most satisfaction from working at DOT Caring Center as a drug abuse counselor. He liked bowling and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, laughing, joking, and just having a good time.
Bruce leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Valerie Longuemire; three daughters and three sons, Bruce (Miranda) Burton, Shellville, Arizona, Trina (Michael) Chandler, Saginaw, Michigan, Monica Longuemire of Georgia, Romane (Chrystal) Davis of Texas, Brent Long and Bruchell Longuemire; six step-children, Jasmine Whitley , Jordan Whitley, Justin Whitley, Juan Whitley, Jaulan Whitley, and Adrian Keels; 18 grandchilden, Montroy Hooper, Shaquita Stewart, Brianna Goodman, Brittany Goodman, Bruce Burton Jr., Branden Longuemire, Kyra Davis, Bri Asia Goodman, Kyran Davis, Jayda Byrd, Mikaela Chandler, Bre Agea Young, Mackenzie Burton, Janiyah Whitley, Bri'on Sparks, Bre'Ail Longuemire, Malichi Longuemire, Roman Davis Jr.; his mother, Minnie Longuemire; one sister, Vanessa Longuemire; five brothers, John Longuemire Jr., Holland, Michigan, LaMont (Rose) Longuemire Sr., Darren (Ladena) Longuemire Sr., Arthur (Wanda) Longuemire Sr. all of Saginaw, Michigan, Anthony (LaTrice) Longuemire, Detroit, Michigan; many other relatives and friends, including special cousins, Albert Davis and Mark (Pam) Davis, also a special friend, Walter Canty.
He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Longuemire Sr.,son, Bruce A. Longuemire Jr., daughter, Demerris L. Goodman, sister, Diane and Jeffery Dorsey, brother, Kenneth E. Longuemire, a niece, Jahna Longuemire, father-in-law, Willie T. Whitley, sister-in-law, Loretta Longuemire.
