Carl Aldridge (Lansing)

Mr. Carl Wayne Aldridge transitioned to his heavenly home on Saturday, September 17, 2022, in Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 70 years. He was born on August 12, 1952, in Luxora, Arkansas. Carl was one of five children born to Sinclair and Eva Aldridge.

A fervent father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. Carl loved to spend time with his family, all while singing & listening to his favorite old and new school songs.

Carl was a proud father of two beautiful daughters; a caring grandfather of four grandchildren whom they affectionately called "Granddad".

Carl attended Lansing Public Schools and worked as a line cook for many years.

He was a devoted athlete, who loved playing football and softball. An avid sports watching fan of his favorite college football and basketball team, the MSU Spartans and his favorite professional basketball team, the Golden State Warriors.

Carl leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Rhea (Michael) McCarty and Tela-Moynai’ Aldridge; granddaughter, Shadaira McCarty; grandsons, Michael McCarty, Jr., RéJere McCarty and AaZan Reece; his favorite niece, Shawnette Husband; 3 aunts, Gertrude Pointer, Versie Aldridge, and Deloris Aldridge; many cousins and friends, including special cousin, James C. Aldridge, Jr., and special friends, Robert "BIC" Hill and Valarie (Biggs) Allen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sinclair Aldridge; mother, Eva Aldridge; sisters, Agnes Aldridge, Earnice Husband, and Cheryl Aldridge; brother, William Aldridge; and beloved niece, Karla (Aldridge) Calloway.
