Carl Lilley (Lansing)

Mr. Carl Martin Lilley went to live with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. He was born July 31, 1949 to his parents, Elbert and Margaret Lilley in Ensley, Alabama.

Carl attended school in Detroit, Michigan. He joined the Navy after school where he served as a cook. He then received his honorable discharge in 1970. Carl had a full, enjoyable life. He loved watching sports on television. He enjoyed watching his daughter grow up to beautiful young lady. Carl married LaVerne Amanda Young on September 10, 2007. They enjoyed 12 years of marriage.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, LaVerne; daughter, Carla Fay Brown; grandson, Jameir Woods; step daughter, DeShawn Yvette Young; step son, Anthony Juan Williams; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Brenda Lilley and brother, Michael Lilley.
