Carla Denise Jeanette Jones-Quinn (Lansing)

Ms. Carla Denise Jeanette Jones-Quinn passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow in Lansing, Michigan. Age 28 years. She was born Wednesday, June 7, 1995, the daughter of LaShon Jones and Carl Quinn, in Lansing, Michigan.

Carla grew up in the Lansing area with her family. She is a 2014 graduate of Holt High School in Holt, Michigan. Carla loved to cook, find and write recipes, watch cooking shows, talk smack and was spicy on the comeback. She loved dancing, especially to Old School music. Her most joy came from spending time with her loving family.

Left to celebrate Carla’s blessed and triumphant life are her parents, LaShon Ferman and Carl Quinn; grandparents, Pastor Will and Mattie Stokes, Thomas and Flora Quinn; 4 sisters, Camia Jones-Quinn, Ke-Asia Jones-Ferman, Ke-Ahanna Jones-Ferman, and Layonna Quinn; 3 nieces, Leiuanna Curtis, Maliyah Curtis, and Samirah Alkalach; 3 aunts, Deborah (Reverand Andre D. Sr.) Flint, Lisa Quinn-Grant, and Cris Jones; 2 uncles, Renny Jones and Thomas Quinn, Jr.; 10 cousins, Andre Flint, Jr., Christopher Flint, Quincy Flint, Che Flint, Debryhana Flint, Jalicia Stewart, Justin Stewart, Bree Moore, Kisha Griffin, and Nikki Griffin; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Xaretti Wallace, Jordan Wallace, Tyneshia Dood, and Elijah Wade.

She was preceded in death by her aunts, Rosaline “Renee” Griffin and Bizer Quinn.
