Carlos Enoch Davis departed this life on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at St. Johns Hospital, Detroit, MI after a lengthy illness. He attended both Detroit and Saginaw Public Schools, earning his high school diploma from Saginaw Public Schools. He received Christ at an early age as well as recently rededicating his life to Christ. Carlos loved his family dearly and cherished family gatherings. Carlos enjoyed the game of Wheelchair Basketball and was a star player on a Wheelchair League. Carlos helped his team win two championships. Carlos was a dedicated chess player. He was always ready for a chess match, carrying his chess set with him wherever he went.
Carlos leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Gary D. Davis of Detroit, MI; five sisters, Cassandra Brown of Detroit, MI, Shelley (Nate) Williams of Grand Blanc, MI, Doreen (Frank) Coleman of Saginaw, MI, Dettrea (Tyrone) Weston of Saginaw, MI and Gloria (Steven) Addison of Greenville, SC; one half-sister, DVonuette Davis of Saginaw, MI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, including one aunt, Jackie Coleman of Detroit, MI; one great aunt, Ruth Warner of Detroit, MI; his best friend, Terry Marshall and many other like family family and friends.
Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gloria Davis; two brothers, George and Randall Davis; half-sister, Leatrice (Diane) Martin; his grandparents, Walter and Bertha Davidson and Leon and May Coleman; three uncles; four aunts and a special niece, Dionne Brown-Wade.
Carlos will be missed for his comical rhymes and his determination to live life to the fullest.
