Carlton Gant Jr. (affectionately known as Bird) passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at McLaren - Greater Lansing Hospital at the age of 45 years. He was born on August 24, 1972 to Carlton Gant Sr. and Roxie Ann Wheeler in Lansing Michigan.
Carlton graduated from Sexton High School in 1991. He attended Lansing Community College. After college, he worked for the Canadian National Railroad Company for many years. Carlton moved to Atlanta, Georgia, and worked for Airmark. He later relocated back to Lansing, Michigan.
He was notoriously known for his jokes and candid sense of humor. He was always
the life of the party, lighting up any room he entered with his smooth charm and charisma.
He was also known for his love of fashion, style, and the latest trends. Most importantly Carlton loved life; and he lived his life to the fullest.
Carlton is preceded in death by his father, Carlton Gant Sr., mother, Roxie Ann Wheeler,
grandmother, Bearlie Mae Wheeler and grandfather, George Wheeler Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, A’ darious Beard, Carlton Gant III, Taijion Gant, and Rashaun Gant; daughter, Amaya Beamer; brothers, Chauney Gant (Trisha) and Samuel Gant (Tina); sister, Carla Gant; grandmother, Binna Mae Gant and grandfather, James Gant (Doris).
He also leaves many other uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
