Carolyn (Lansing) Morgan-Wright

Carolyn Morgan-Wright made her transition Tuesday, March 11, 2015 at Sparrow Hospital at the age of 55 years. Carolyn was born January 25, 1960 in Lansing, Michigan to Gladys Pearson and Walter Morgan.
Carolyn lived in Lansing all her life. She was a member of Rivers of Life Church under leadership of Pastor Jessie Brown. Prior to her illness, she was working toward her general associates degree at Lansing Community College. Before her first encounter with cancer, she was employed with the State of Michigan as a secretary in the Treasury Department. Carolyn was full of life and was never afraid to speak her mind. She was a giver and would help anyone around her in any way that she could. She had a kind spirit and one of a warrior. No matter what was thrown her way, she fought through it, cancer included. Her favorite scripture was II Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. Carolyn enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with her loved ones. Her kindness, generosity and outgoing personality will forever be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Chenier Morgan and TaNeil Wright; sons, Aserilyn Morgan and JaVian Wright; step-children, Carleen and Neil Wright; seven grandchildren, MarkQuan Bragg, MarkQuice Bragg, MeAyla Woods, MaLaija Woods, MoNesha Woods, MiYania Woods and Armoni RaChay Sykes; her parents, Gladys (Roosevelt) Pearson and Walter Morgan; two sisters, Andrea Husband and Merlyn Morgan; one brother, Baran Pearson; and her former husband, Cornelius Wright.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Morgan, brothers, Lawrence and Larry Morgan, grandparents, Pearl and Warren Morgan, Johnny Smith and Mary Elizabeth Smith.
