Cassandra Fambro (Lansing)

July 13, 1967 — April 11, 2023

Ms. Cassandra Fambro passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, after a valiant fight against cancer. Age 55 years. Born July 13, 1967, in Atlanta, Georgia, the eldest child and only daughter born to mother, Johnnie Callahan.


She went to Pattengill Middle School and then graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing, Michigan. Cassandra went on to work for the Radisson Hotel in the kitchen; eventually earning the title of sous chef. She worked in that capacity for 21 years. Her skills in the kitchen lead Cassandra to win the Board of Water & Light annual Chili Cook-Off 3 years in a row.


Cassandra was known for saying “Happy Easter” at any given occasion, adored Janet Jackson and her music, as well as black & white shows.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Johnnie Callahan; brothers, Clinton Stinson, Ricardo Stinson, James Callahan, Jr., and Rashad Callahan; step-father, James Callahan; step-sisters, Lisa Callahan, Nometta Callahan, Myra (Chet) Davis, Tashara (Alex) Jackson, Akecia McPherson, Tamika (Demetrius) Thomas, Shamarrie Kittle, Sharonda Kittle, and Sharay Kittle; step-brother, Darnell Lathon; and many other relatives and friends including special friends, Keaa Roper, Cyndee Haviland, and Robert Roper.
