Catherine Thompson

Catherine Thompson passed away Monday, October 1, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare- Cooper. Age 61 years. She was born March 2, 1951 in Thompson, Alabama to J.D. and Jessie Mae Davis.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Catherine was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church were she accepted Christ at an early age. She was employed by Saginaw Public School District where she worked at Heavenrich Elementary school as a lunch aide. She received a certificate in Child Care from Rueben Daniels. She loved and cared for children for many years, all were welcomed. She was kind hearted, giving and loved by all that knew her. Catherine will be greatly missed by many.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Rhonda Jean Tyson, Kimberly A. Thompson, Kathy L. Thompson; one son, Curtis Lee Thompson Jr.; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Patricia (Robert) Mason, Cloella Davis, Margaret (Robin) Young; nine brothers, Freddrick and Albert Davis, Nathan Burt, Joe, Matthew, Landese and Sheldon Jones, Lushon and Deon Grays; two aunts, Bertha (Elmer) Ellsworth, Annie Mae Babers; sister-in-law, Catherine Davis; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, David Riley, Sam Baker and the Curry and Owen families.
She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Lee Thompson Sr., J.D. and Jessie Mae Davis; grandparents, Ben and Alberta Babers; Julia Logan, Connie Davis, Ben Babers, Patsy Smith, Betty Bankhead, John and James Williams.
