Charelena Buttler

Ms. Charelena Buttler passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at St. Francis Home of Saginaw. Age 72 years. Charelena was born in Dublin, Mississippi, to Selena Jackson and Rubin Butler Sr.

Charlena grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Saginaw, Michigan, where she met her lifetime companion, Mose Fisher. They shared a love for over 32 years.

Charelena loved listening to the blues, dancing, walking, doing crossword puzzles, talking smack, and she loved to read books.

Charelena leaves to cherish her memory her grandson Tarrance Reynolds; step daughter, Marcella Moore; a special granddaughter, Myesha Moore, and two bonus granddaughters, Yeteva Moore, and Charmaine Moore; sisters, Ora Butler, Bernice Werner, Mae Wilson, Rosie Jeanette Martin, Doris Ganios Martin, Betty Yecoah; brothers, Rubin Butler Jr., Herman Davis, Joe Glen Martin; aunt, Beatrice (Willie) Brooker; a host of nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren, and her special friends Helen Randolph, Earl Boyd, Sunday Russell, Clinton Williams, and Larry Adams.

Charelena was preceded in death by her son, Lewis Reynolds; her lifetime companion, Mose Fisher; sisters, Cynthia Jackson, Ethel Starnes, and Lillie Coleman; brothers, Larry Martin, Jimmy Butler, Charles Martin, James Jackson, William Jackson,  and Joe Louis Jackson.
