Charlene (Lansing) Evans

Charlene Lynn Evans passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health Center in Jackson, Michigan. Age 62 years. She was born September 11, 1954 to Charles Allen and Doris Yore in Lansing, Michigan.
Charlene was a lifelong resident of Lansing, Michigan. She graduated from J. W. Sexton High School in 1973. She was employed at Ingham Medical Hospital for 20 years. She was married to the father of her children, Morris Marrell, Sr. Charlene was famous for her cooking; she enjoyed listening to music and spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Charlene was known to be a person who liked to dress up, from head to toe. She loved her makeup and jewelry. When you saw her, there was not a hair out of place. Charlene loved to look good.
She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Charles (Ardiena) Allen, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; son, Morris Marrell, Jr.; daughter, Sharonda Marrell; daughter-in-law, Nicole Marrell; 19 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Charmane Martin, Buffalo, New York; Aunt, Duria Lowe, Carrollton, Georgia, special cousin/friend, Adova Pittman-Bridges, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends including companion, Henry Walker.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ivri Marrell; mother, Doris Yore, sisters, Terri Lynn, Debra Allen, and Kay Dungey; grandmothers, Sara Adams and Willie Mae Calhoun; and 2 grandsons.
