Charles Alan Marvin

January 14, 1957 — July 21, 2015

Our beloved godson, god-brother, uncle, nephew and friend, Charles Alan Marvin, better known as Chuck, went to be with the Lord at the tender age of 58, Tuesday, July 21st, 2015 after a sudden illness. Chuck was born on January 14th, 1957 in Jackson County to the late Arlene Joyce King and Emery Dennis Marvin.
Chuck loved working outdoors, as handy man, farmer, and with lumber. He formally served as a security guard. Chucks favorite pastime activities included sports, watching the races and old John Wayne movies. Chuck took great pride and pleasure in caring for people. He will be remembered for the love and selfless dedication he gave to family and friends he found and that found him. His joy especially was found in Momma Pittman as he assisted her with cooking and running the home.
Chuck touched many lives and his memory will be forever remembered by his godparents, Sampson and Rosie Pittman, god-sisters, Darlene Anderson, Linda Coleman, Joyce Ann Reed; uncles, Richard (Tiffany) Lee, Jr. and George (Lizzie) Moore; aunts, Kathy (Leon) Barnett, Hester Lowery, and Shirley Jones; grandfather, Loudis Canada; grandmother, Geraldine Anderson; special cousins, Mary Ann (Sir) Matthews and Patricia Davis; special friends, Al and Debra Brown, Charles and Gail McAbee, Ramsey Nobel, Cleve and Modena Williamson and Patricia Lamarr. Chuck also leaves many other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.
