Mr. Charles R. Aldridge passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the age of 75 years. He was born September 27, 1938 in Kokomo, Mississippi to Arthur Aldridge and Gertrude Campbell.
Charles was a born again Christian and a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rodrick Smith. He retired from Grey Iron after 54 years of service. He enjoyed working up until his retirement and going to the BV Center. He also loved spending time with his family, including his church family. Charles also served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after three years of service.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 22 years, Margree Aldridge; three stepsons, Tony (Cheryl) Lenoir of Lansing, Michigan, James (Sharon) Hulett, Larry (Ramona) Wilson, all of Saginaw, Michigan; one daughter, Deborah Menefee of Birmingham, Alabama; five stepdaughters, Linda Sanders of New Orleans, Louisiana, Linda (Elliott) Napier, Valerie Emerson, Sandra Hulett and Janice Wicker all of Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters, Helen Daniels and Leaner Smith of Saginaw, Michigan; five sisters-in-law, Beverly Wilson and Earlean White of Detroit, Michigan, Dora Lee Griffin and Catherine Wilson of Saginaw, Michigan and Minnie Pearl Reed of New Orleans, Louisiana; four brothers-in-law, Eddie (Sarah) Wilson, Terry (Karen) Wilson, Perry Wilson, Kenny (Carolyn) Wilson all of Detroit, Michigan; 25 grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including his god-daughter, Barbara Ezell, special friends, Javier Bauza, Robert Shaheed, Robert Wingard, Sr. and David Saldana all of Saginaw, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Arthur Aldridge and Gertrude Campbell; one sister, Gladys Dixon; two sons, Charles Aldridge Jr. and Edward Hulett.
