Charles "Bo" Nelson (Lansing)

Mr. Charles Nelson was born March 21, 1979, in Lansing, Michigan, to Charlie (Goodtime) Washington and Carla Nelson. Charles passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Lansing, Michigan at the age of 44. Charles was very outgoing and bubbly. He was extremely lovable and loved to keep you laughing, for that he will be greatly missed. He attended Lansing Public Schools, graduating from Sexton High School. He also completed some College at LCC, and thereafter worked in the factory.

Charles leaves to Cherish his beautiful, heartfelt love and memories his sons; Jameer Nelson, Kashyton-DaJuan Gilchrist and Jamarri Cannon. Daughters; Samiya Richardson, Maya Cannon and Kamarah Donna-Marie Gilchrist. Sisters; Maria Nelson and Asia Bell of Lansing, Charlieann (James) Meredith of Little Rock, Arkansas. Brothers; Allen (Tonya) Amerson of Cleveland, Ohio, Pierre Clifton of Blythe-ville, Arkansas and Gary (Woo) Truvillion of Lansing, Michigan. Aunts; Lula Haywood of Talladega, Alabama and Thelma Valley of Carbondale, Illinois. Special Cousin/Brother; Lamont Hoard and Quan Fletcher. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, particularly close friends Willard Payne, Charlie, Freddy, Ben Dean, Eamon Barnes, Vie Roland, Sherman, Outlaw, BJ, YaYa,, Kenny, and all of his friends from the Barnes Neighborhood.

Charles was preceded in death by his father Charlie (Goodtime) Washington, Mother Carla Nelson, brother Glen Washington. Grand-parents, Leroy and Jean Nelson, and Wilma, Peeler, uncles Fred, Otho and Taylor Blocker and William Washington. Aunts, Waynettia Nelson Ellen Washington, Callie B Hoard, and Dortha Valley.
