Charles R. Sheldon (Lansing)

Mr. Charles R. Sheldon passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, at his residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 90 years. Charles was born April 15, 1933, in Stanton, Michigan to parents, George and Nina Sheldon.

Charles resided in Lansing, Michigan with his wife, but formerly lived in Port Charlotte, Florida. Charles proudly worked for Diamond REO, and he did automotive repair. Charles attended Heritage Baptist Church.

He enjoyed Harley Davison motorcycles, model airplanes and country music – he played the guitar and harmonica. Charles loved to spend time at the ocean.

Charles will be remembered for his great sense of humor and love for his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Elizabeth Sheldon; daughters, Catherine Mohr and Freda (Mark) Sheldon; son, Douglas (Julie) Sheldon; grandchildren, Aron Silvernail, Rhonda Silvernail, Stacy Ferman, Steve Silvernail, Eric Sheldon, Ann Silvernail, Hailey Sackett, Thomas Silvernail, and Andrew Silvernail; 13 great-grandchildren; 8 great great-grandchildren; 2 siblings; and 5 sisters-in-law.

Charles was preceded in death by daughter, Christine Sheldon; son, Daniel Sheldon; parents, George and Nina Sheldon; 1 sister; 5 brothers; mother and father-in-law, Donald and Alice Hopkins; 7 sisters-in-law; and 7 brothers-in-law.
