Mr. Charles Randolph was the first of three children born to the union of Quinton and Laura Jenkins Randolph, on February 14, 1937 in Houston, Texas.
Charles was raised in the Third Ward community of Houston, Texas and was a 1955 graduate of Jack Yates High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961 and was stationed in Colorado. He received an Honorable Discharge. After his tour of duty, Charles resided in Denver before relocating to Saginaw, Michigan in 1963. He was a longtime employee of Eaton Manufacturing where he retired after many years of service.
Charles was very talented as a sketch artist and an advent photographer, traits that were passed to his nieces and nephews. He was a lover of classical jazz and R&B music. Charles loved reading and attained his vast knowledge of history and the world through print. The Lord closed his final chapter on the morning of February 17th, 2018 at the Saginaw Senior care center at the age of 81 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy, one sister, Annie Mae Randolph; nephew, Reginald Randolph; great-nephews, Regan Randolph and DeAndre Major; great-niece, Chermier Holman, all of Houston, Texas; niece, Vicki Major, great-nieces, Kedja Littlejohn and Sanai Hamilton of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; great-nephew Rashad Sanders, Charlotte, North Carolina; many special cousins in Texas, Pennsylvania, California and Florida, and a host of caring friends stretching from Michigan to Alaska.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Delbert and Annie Poole Randolph; and brother, John Henry Randolph.
